About Me...
My journey into technology began in Washington, DC, in the late 1990s in the field of criminal justice research. At the time, reliable online resources were scarce, research databases were limited, and most of the tools we now take for granted simply did not exist. To do my job effectively, I had to teach myself how to build databases, organize large amounts of information, and create websites that made research easier to access and understand. What started as a practical necessity soon became a lifelong passion.
I discovered that I loved designing systems that bring order to complexity and help people work more efficiently. Over the years, that passion evolved into a career focused on helping individuals and small businesses use technology with greater confidence and less frustration. Today, through Kristi Waits Tech, I help clients build simple, effective systems for organizing information, managing businesses, and creating a stronger online presence.

My Philosophy...
Technology is constantly changing, and new tools appear every day promising to make our lives easier. But I believe that adopting technology simply because it is new (or because everyone else is using it) is rarely the best approach.
The best technology decisions are thoughtful ones. Before adding a new app, platform, or automation, I ask a simple question: Will this genuinely improve the way you work and live, or will it add unnecessary complexity?
My goal is to help people choose tools that provide a true net benefit of saving time, reducing stress, and making their systems easier to manage. Technology should support your goals, not become another source of frustration.
My Vision...
I am especially passionate about helping women feel more confident and capable with technology. Many of the women I work with are entrepreneurs, small business owners, retirees, and volunteers who know technology is important but often feel intimidated by it. My mission is to create a supportive environment where learning feels approachable, practical, and even enjoyable.
I want women to see technology as a tool for independence and empowerment. Whether it’s organizing files, creating a website, launching an online store, or simply learning how to use everyday apps more effectively, technology can open doors and create new opportunities.
When women gain confidence with technology, they gain the freedom to focus on what matters most...their ideas, their businesses, their communities, and their lives.
